Oat Bread

Oat Bread

Servings: 10 slices

Ingredients

  • 315 grams of oats
  • 14 fluid oz of oat milk
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp of blackstrap molasses
  • 1/4 tsp of himalayan pink salt
  • 1 tsp of bread soda
  • 1 handful of mixed seeds/pumpkin/sesame/sunflower
  • 1 egg or vegan egg optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 190C Gas mark 5
  • Grind the oats for a few seconds to make them more flour like (similar to whole-ground flour)
  • Add salt, bread soda and seeds
  • Mix oat milk, blackstrap molasses and melted coconut oil together and add egg if using.
  • Bring all ingredients together and put into an oiled loaf tin.
  • Sprinkle some more seeds on top
  • Bake in a pre-heated oven for 50 mins until you can hear a hollow sound when tapped.
  • Wrap in a clean tea towel until cool.

Notes

Use organic ingredients where possible.
Note: can also be frozen - whole or sliced for convenience.
