Can Alzheimer’s Be Prevented?

Patrick Holford

In Person - Dublin   6.30pm - 8.30pm

Alzheimer’s doesn’t simply begin when memory starts to fail.

What if some of the most important steps you can take to protect your memory and brain health could begin today?

Alzheimer’s doesn’t simply begin when memory starts to fail. Many of the factors associated with cognitive decline can develop years — even decades — earlier.

Patrick Holford’s message is a hopeful one: many of the factors associated with brain ageing are linked to areas we can influence, including nutrition, blood sugar balance, B-vitamin status, omega-3 intake, sleep, gut health and lifestyle.

Join the College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM) for a special live health talk in Dublin with world-renowned nutrition expert Patrick Holford, based on his latest book, Alzheimer’s: Prevention is the Cure.

During this talk you will discover:

  • The 8 Prevention Domains: The key pillars Patrick believes can influence brain longevity, from optimising your gut-brain axis to improving sleep resilience.
  • The B-Vitamin & Omega-3 Connection: Discover the fascinating relationship between B vitamins, omega-3 fats, homocysteine and brain shrinkage.
  • The Low-GL Diet Framework: Learn how reducing sugar and ultra-processed foods and balancing blood sugar could help support your brain and mental energy.
  • The Latest Thinking on Alzheimer’s Treatment: Explore Patrick’s perspective on current amyloid-targeting treatments and why he believes early, active prevention deserves greater attention.

Why you don’t want to miss this:

Alzheimer’s is one of the greatest health concerns facing us as we age — but this health talk offers a message of possibility, prevention and action. Patrick will cut through the complexity and share an actionable, evidence-based approach to protecting your brain health and reducing the risk factors associated with cognitive decline.

Whether you’re thinking about your own future health, concerned about someone you love, or simply want to understand how to keep your brain healthy as you age, this is an opportunity to learn what you can start doing now.

Don’t wait until memory problems appear to start thinking about brain health.
